Season's Greetings - tips for making Christmas less stressful

Season's Greetings to you all. So begins the start of the festive season! This month I thought I would focus on some tips for making Christmas that little less stressful. Forget perfection Sometimes gingerbread men will be missing a limb. The tree may have a bald spot. The gravy may not taste exactly like your grandmother’s. Know what? None of it matters. Decide what's truly important to you over the Christmas holidays, and focus on that. Enlist help Once you drop the desire for absolute levels of perfection, it gets much easier to ask for help and delegate tasks. Get the kids involved in simple things like setting the table and addressing Christmas card envelopes. If you still have a lot of Christmas shopping to do, ask your sister/best friend for help and organise a day in town to get it all done. Then you can reward her/yourselves by calling in to me for a relaxing massage afterwards :) Stick to a budget Much of the holiday stress people feel can be attributed to money woes. Make a list and check it twice, making sure the gifts you choose are within your budget reach. And when you're tempted to overspend, remember that things are rarely as meaningful as a kind thought or gesture. Hassle free shopping If you are looking for the ideal Christmas present that's going to be hassle free and make a big impact, consider picking up one of my select hampers. They're filled with all sorts of nice ideas like soaps, candles, teas and Neal's Yard Remedy products saving you the hassle of finding the perfect pampering gift for your loved one. Depending on your budget these can be further supplemented by a gift voucher for a really indulgent treatment at Tulia Therapies. Get a massage Taking care of yourself makes you better able to take care of all the people who depend on you! Hope you found some of these tips helpful and here's to a wonderful holiday low on stress and filled with fun! Warmest regards. Shelly :)
